Enjoy a delicious Cypress Buffet, including fresh juices, baked mini muffins, Danish pastries, croissants, sliced seasonal fruit and berries, bagels with Philadelphia cream cheese, preserves, Nutella, whole grain cereals with a variety of milk options, and individual yogurts.

CONGRATULATIONS, Lions of IL District 1BK!!

We are Net +53 in membership. We have added 65 new members just since January 1st. We even made the LCI Leader Board for Constitutional Area 1 USA and Affiliate, Bermuda and Bahamas) districts! Great Spring membership drive for us. Keep it up as we head to our 6/30 year end.
ENGAGEMENT of all members is critical to retention. As you start sending out your annual dues statements, check in on all of your members and be sure they are engaged. It is always easier to retain a member than it is to add a new one!

It has taken me a whole week to catch-up after after last weekend's Lions of Illinois District 1BK Annual Celebration/Convention of 59 Lions Clubs and nearly 1,800 Lions at the Bolingbrook Inn Friday April 11 to Sunday April 13th. We had a blast with our special guests International Director Chris Carlone and his wife, Lion Kathy, from New Orleans, and all of our guests from around Illinois and Mississippi, too! It was a very special weekend from start to finish. It was a great way to come together -- Club to Club and Lion to Lion -- to celebrate, congratulate, and thank. Everyone should have left with new information and ideas and met some new Lions, too!
Special thanks to the 1BK Leadership Team for their work on this convention all year long, especially Interim Cabinet Secretary Lion Ken Novak, PDG. Thank you to the Lemont Lions and the Bolingbrook Lions for all of their support -- and convention setup and take down -- the last 3 years, too! I am proud to be a Lemont Lion and an Associate Member in the Bolingbrook Lions Club.
Thanks to everyone for posting all of the pictures all over social media.
It is my pleasure to represent District 1BK across our great district and to the Lions of Illinois! Thank you for giving me the honor!

Lions--Mark your calendars now for the annual District Lions Convention to be held April 11-12, 2025 at the Bolingbrook Holiday. Our special guest speaker will be International Director Chris Carlone of the Louisiana Lions. Please see attached press release and mark your calendars now. Invite all the Lions in your club, too!!

Our annual district convention (GIANT MGE) will be a GIANT AFFAIR on April 11 & 12 @ The Bolingbrook Holiday Inn to CELEBRATE ALL 59 of our clubs and nearly 1,800 Lions members, including Leos. Our theme is SUPERHEROES FOR SERVICE, and we are going to celebrate all of our superheroes.
#1 PLEASE: All Lions and Leo Clubs are encouraged to BRING YOUR CLUB BANNER for proud display at our annual District Convention at the Holiday Inn in Bolingbrook on April 11th and 12th.
#2 PLEASE: Also, BEFORE THE CONVENTION, Governor Tom also wants to COLLECT GROUP PHOTOS and any other photos you want to send of “Lions in Action” serving our communities through projects and fundraisers ahead of the convention for presentations and table decorations, and throughout the convention proceedings.
#3 PLEASE: One more ask: All clubs are encouraged to submit an ad to the convention ad book to share with other clubs
