BEWARE OF EMAIL IMPERSONATION ATTACKS FROM DG TOM DREZ
Jun-30-2025
LIONS-BEWARE!! ANOTHER IMPERSONATION ATTACK!!

I have been informed this morning by a few Lions that an email message supposedly from me is making its rounds to Lions asking for something I would not normally ask for. My email has not been hacked but rather it is another impersonation attack that we have seen throughout our state in the last couple of years.

Look at the FROM and REPLY-TO email addresses. Someone made a fake email address to try and be me and that is what they are using to impersonate me.

My real email address is tom@drez.net. I has never changed in 30 years. My cell phone is 630-240-5024. WHEN IN DOUBT, PLEASE ALWAYS CALL ME, and I can tell you something that only I would know about you to prove it is me.

Please spread the word to all Lions to beware of messages supposedly from me, and to be on high alert for impersonation attacks of me, all District Governors and others -- especially those Lions that handle money!

THANK YOU for STAYING ALERT!

CLOCK TICKING....REGISTER for Our ANNUAL DISTRICT CELEBRATION/CONVENTION TODAY:
Apr-13-2025
Good morning, Fellow Lions of IL District 1BK Lions:

I need your vote to become your Past Distrcit Governor :-) !

Our annual Bowling event last weekend was amazing.  We sold out the whole bowling alley and had many Lions that just stopped in to say HI.  It was great to see a sea of Lions from one end of the bowling alley to the other.  It was a success becuase of all the Lions that came out to meet, greet, eat, bowl and have some fun.
WELL, WE NEED YOU ONE MORE TIME THIS YEAR - AT OUR ANNUAL DISTRICT CELEBRATION/CONVENTION pon April 11-12 at Bolingbrook Holiday Inn.  Coming up fast now.  Please get your registration in if you have not already done so.
Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for meals at our District Convention celebration is April 1st (April Fools Day). Registration costs also go up by $5 for any walk-ins. Please refer to the attachments.

A lot of work went into putting this convention together for your benefit, so please register if you can before April Fools Day. Emphasis was to keep the costs down while providing some great value for Lions and guests to experience.

Silent auction items are appreciated and will be gladly accepted at the convention. Perhaps you or your club can provide an item to assist our district keep costs down.

We are celebrating all our clubs and Lions.

Friday night is entertainment night. Wear your superhero costume or superhero accessories. Photo ops and a couple of games will be going on. Lions is about relationships, club to club and Lion to Lion.

Please send in your registration form today!  The form and other convention info is on our website here:
